Welcome to Verrill Dana’s Energy Law Update Blog.

Conceived in 2009 and made live in 2010, the Verrill Dana Energy Law Update blog is intended as a source of news and analysis relevant to the world of energy law: major court or regulatory orders affecting our clients and others, conference or seminar announcements, breaking news in the world of renewable energy, and novel legal issues.

The Energy Group has a wealth of experience in managing the legal aspects of major renewable power developments; negotiating power purchase and interconnection agreements; obtaining any and all regulatory approvals from Maine’s Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC) and Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC); conducting due diligence in advance of major power asset deals; and handling government relations to obtain the best results for our clients.

While Maine is our headquarters, Verrill Dana’s Energy attorneys have the experience and ability to advocate throughout the Northeast.

Our experience is at your disposal.  For more information or to arrange a meeting, contact Group chairpersons Juliet Browne or Bill Harwood today.
